"All-in-one" Bag Pattern Release – A GIVEAWAY…

September 30, 2013 by flutterfromkat@live.com 30 Comments

I am so excited to share my latest pattern with you,

The “all-in-one” bag…

The inspiration for this bag came when I found myself moving past the need for a “chuck everything
including the kitchen sink in” diaper bag into the “my kids are old enough to carry their own stuff, I just need my phone, wallet, keys and essentials” bag.
The size suited my needs perfectly so I thought I’d share the pattern with you.

The Stats…
The “All-in-one” bag is a small grab-and-go bag with different compartments for all your essentials.
It hosts a pocket for your phone, pen, 8 card holders, a central dividing zipper pocket and a spare side pocket.
At 7.5 inches wide by 11 inches wide (19cm by 28cm) it is a lovely, light compact size, yet the inside is suprisingly roomy.

You can see I’ve made it in 2 different colourways so far and plan to make a more scrappy version next.
I’ve also had 3 different friends test the pattern for me. They have each done a fantastic job!!!
Here are their results…

Niki made her bag using fall colours, perfect for the season she’s moving into.
I love how it turned out!
I especially love the blend of fabrics that she’s used on the inside. They really pop!

Niki’s says:
“The All in One Bag Pattern was a delight to sew — clear instructions, clever construction, and neat features.  It fits everything I need to carry to keep up with my kids in style, and I love how it converts from a shoulder bag to a wristlet!”

In fact, Niki liked the pattern so much that she went right ahead and made a second one for a friend. Two great bags in the space of a few days – nice work Niki!

Next up was Mary…
Lucky for Mary she doesn’t live locally, otherwise my girls would threaten to snatch this bag since Mary went with a pink version!

I especially love how the pink and the brown dots play together. Not to mention that bright pop of blue. Love love love!

Mary says:

‘I love this pattern, it’s well written with helpful photo’s throughout – a pattern I will definitely use again’

Third up was Synnove…
Synnove went with a dog theme which is fitting since she has just got the cutest new puppy ever!!
I love all the different fabrics Synn has chosen, they work so well today. And that zipper pull – perfect!!
Synnove says:
“Easy to follow pattern for a nice bag that has lots of practical features. I love the internal pockets, and the fact that it’s so roomy yet small sized.”

***
The “all-in-one” bag is now available for immediate download from Craftsy (in US dollars) or over on my website (priced in NZ dollars).
***
Today I will be giving away a free copy of the pattern to 3 lucky participants. As well as a main prize of a $30 (NZ) gift voucher to my shop.
To enter head on over to my shop to choose what you would buy with your voucher, come back and leave me a comment with your choice.
If you purchase a copy of my pattern this week then go on to be lucky enough to win one of the pattern prices then I will refund your purchase price.
Good luck!
Let me know what you think :)

I love this bag. Can’t wait to get it and try it out.

If I were to win the voucher, I’d have to get me one of your frame purses. The Russian dollies or the fishies or the fishies or … :oD

Hmmm, think I’d have to put it towards the 14 inch word play cushion (& then get a couple of patterns just because)

The All in One Bag pattern looks great. It would be a great one for me to make for someone else as a gift. I know a few relatives/friends who would love that bag.

My favorite from your site which I’d love to have is one I’m not sure is available or not. It is for one of your coin purses, but says it’s a custom order for Rachel. I LOVE the fabric and that gorgeous blue clasp. My future DIL would go nuts over that because blue/teals are her favorite color and she saw an unfinished project I made when I first got my embroidery machine and took a class learning to use the machine. It was an under the sea type project with little fish on it. She LOVES that thing so I know she would go nuts over that coin purse.

With the voucher I would get one of the frame purses – but I’m not sure which one! I like them all, so it would take more time for me to choose just one… 😀
