Wow what a big day I had yesterday! After a full days work yesterday I sent away 52 t-shirts branded with the logo for the upcoming C3 church women’s conference event.
It feel SOOOOOO good to have them done! The day has been planned for 4 weeks and I just wanted it to hurry up and come. But I’m pleased to report that it went smoothly – Hurrah!!
Big HUGE thanks to my helpers Mel, Megan & Emma! Not to mention my wonderful friend Debbie for not only looking after my girls all day but also surprising me by cooking dinner. I have the best friends! Couldn’t have done it without you wonderful girls!!
So now that’s over I can concentrate a little again. With what small amounts of brain power my clouded-by-a-stoopid-virus head can muster up anyway… Namely getting a few “housekeeping” matters on my blog sorted. I just figured that since I have a couple of things on the go that I need to update you about I’d put it all in one post instead of many…
Number 1 – Blankets of Love Charity Bee update…
Thank you to everybody who has offered to help me with this!! I really appreciate it and I’m sure the babies who benefit will too! I have decided to start a Flickr group for this, since most of the people who have decided to contribute have Flickr accounts. If you are interested in keeping track of what everybody’s making can I encourage you to go and join up? I think it will be wonderful to have a record of all of the quilts that we will be donating in one central place, and I think it will also inspire us to keep going and keep (me!) accountable.
So whether you are making quilts for your local neonatal unit or sending them to me for our Perth children’s hospital, feel free to add your photo – and I will add photos of them once they are quilted & bound etc..
Also if you’d like to put the blog button for this on your blog that would be just lovely! I’ve added the code down the side of my blog now (Thanks Juliet for teaching me how to do that!) so you should just be able to add that code as an Html gadget now on your blog.
Number 2 – Scrappy Swap 2011
Yay this is starting to grow in numbers and I can’t wait to get started – it will be such a fun swap! If you haven’t already, can those of you who will be participating go and join the Flickr group & fill out the registration form please? That will help me match you up with someone great. Once you’ve done that could you please make your partner an inspiration mosaic and add it to the group photo pool. Yay
Code for this button is also down the side if you’d like to add it to your blog…
Number 3 – A few more stats…
I know I harped on recently about blogging more for me and being less concerned in future about my stats and what other people think etc… etc…. That’s all totally still how I feel now too of course!! But in saying that I still do regularly check my statistics. It’s just too darn fascinating not to! Can’t help myself. (Random fact: I studied statistics at Uni and secretly quite enjoyed it… quite random and weird hey!)
Anyway… today I noticed that my statistics went over 30,000…
That kind of excited me because it seems like an awful lot and I’m fairly sure that it’s not all my Nana or my Mother-in-law
So… to celebrate that random fact (and to have bribed you to have read all my “housekeeping – smart ha!) I’m going to give away one of my vinyl wall art cuts.
I love this new sign on my office wall, so if you’d love one on your wall too then simply leave me a comment.
– No other hoops required for your jump!
(It’s a little under an A4 size this one.)
On that note I’m going to go make use of my evening an do a spot of sewing. I finished my 3rd mugrug today and promptly sent it off before I got tempted to keep it 😉 I can’t show you the whole thing until my partner receives it, but here is a sneak peak…
Pretty colours hey. My favourite colours – hence I was tempted to keep it!
Off now to make a baby quilt for one of my Mothers group friends who just had a lovely baby boy over the weekend.
Enjoy your day/evening…
Congrats on your mamoth task with the t-shirts, I’m sure all your hard work will be appreciated.
Love that mug rug, probably sensible to have stuck it straight in an envelope ;o)
I hope you’ll show us the mugrug when it’s received! do I spy spotty binding??
