We’re having a quiet day at home today after a busy weekend. So this morning in between feeds, naps, trips to the toilet, playing farms, playing chase and playing hide the shoe from Abbie (7 months old and already she has a shoe fetish – only unfortunately it’s a “chew the shoe” fetish) I got the opportunity to sit down and have a play with all my new and old fabric scraps… **BLISS**!!
I’m not very comfortable with the colourful scrappy look – I love it when other people do it, but it’s not something I’m confident pulling together myself… I usually find monocramatic or just a couple of colours far easier! But keeping in mind my partners tastes I decided to take up the challend and put together something “scrappy” and colourful. This is my progress so far…
One side of a sewing machine cover. Probably the only side you will see until after my partner has recieved her swap, because the other side will totally give away who it’s too and we can’t have that
I was originally aiming for a rainbow but after playing and playing and more playing this is what I ended up with. Still a bit of subtle colour graduation I suppose, but not really a rainbow.
I’m quite pleased with it so far… hopefully my partner will be too
I think this will be my project 52 this week – hopefully I can have it finished by Friday!!
What are you all working on?
