Well last week was kind of crazy for me…. Totally great. But still crazy!
I have to question what I was thinking running a big feature week at my blog then same week as Neil was home on his R & R (R & R = Rest & Relaxation week = week at home off work). I didn’t plan that very well did I?… But despite it making me extra busy I am so glad that I did it, because I “met” so many more of you lovely people and learnt so much! I still have to catch up on all my comment replies so bear with me
We had a great week last week with Neil. The highlights were finding a good friend to look after Abbie & treating Hannah to a day at adventure world all for her:
And a special “date” and much needed alone time with Neil. A perfect elements were included – chocolate, the beach & my man (not in order obviously 😉 )
But even though last week was great – it was SO busy & I have to say that I’m REALLY looking forward to this week being a fresh week with a little less busyness!!! This is why:
My health is on the mend!! I’ve been feeling pretty sick for over a month now, and it came to it’s ugly climax last week – just to add a little extra excitement to an already busy week. I’ve been suffering with really bad sinus headaches this month, and feeling like I’m about to get a cold. You know the horrible yucky feeling you get the day or so before you get a full blown cold? Only the cold never came and went, so I just got stuck with that yucky feeling. ICK!
I finally went to the doctor last week when I’d had enough and got to the point of beyond functioning. After a CT scan of my sinuses (interesting experience that one) showed massive inflamation in my sinuses the doctor concluded that I had developed a chronic sinus infection and I have to go on antibiotics for a month. A MONTH!? I hate taking pills so that’s a big deal for me. Still, if it helps me get better from this awful headache then I will suck it up and take the yucky antibiotics!
I’m still to get the results of my bloods to see if there is anything else going on, but so far I am feeling a lot better. Still a headache but at least it’s not crippling!
I get to take a break from my Business… The last couple of weeks or more have been CRAZY busy where my business is concerned. It has taken up SO SO much of my time setting things up that other things in life have suffered for it…. time with my kids, the state of my house, my sewing commitments – bees & swaps, and time out for myself to do just enjoyable “non work” sewing & stuff … But this week I get to take a break from it. I’m in a really good place with having ordered everything such as business cards, letter head, clothing labels, clothing tags, wholesales supplies that was urgent… Now I just need to wait for it all to arrive & make my samples.
Still a lot of work to do, but since my clothing labels are going to take 6 weeks to get to me, I think I can afford to take a week off before starting on making all my samples and starting to put them up on the web.
My housework is done – PHEW! So now my health is sorted (a bit more than it was…), Etiquette week is over, Neil has gone back to work and my Business is up to speed I’m catching up this week on all the jobs I haven’t got to over the last month. Namely housework & spending time loving my kids.
After a massive effort yesterday my house is now tidy AND clean at the same time. Don’t you just love that feeling? If only it stayed that way for more than until as soon as the kids get up the next morning lol…
Yay – a tidy house!!!
– now I can feel relaxed and let myself do some sewing!! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!
I am in serious need of clearing some sewing backlog so I really can’t wait for a productive sewing week ahead!!
So far I have got my February Bee blocks finished (just need to send them). I showed you Leona’s block already, these are my blocks for Sarah in Bits & Pieces Bee:
What have you got planned to achieve this week?
PS I tried the linking to Flickr for my photos for this post and it was actually really easy. It might actually get me using my Flickr account more. So thanks for the how to Jennie!
